Support Workers- Privacy & Confidentiality

This short and practical training module helps Support Workers understand their responsibilities around protecting a participant’s privacy and confidential information while working within the NDIS. The course explains how to recognise private and sensitive information, when information can or cannot be shared, and the importance of maintaining a participant’s dignity and rights at all times.

Throughout the module, Support Workers are guided through real workplace examples and situations relevant to their role, helping them understand how to meet NDIS Standards, the Code of Conduct, and privacy legislation. Participants will also learn the circumstances where information may legally be shared without consent and how to handle sensitive information professionally and respectfully.

Designed for Support Workers who regularly access participant information, the course includes an online learning module, practical scenarios, and a certificate of completion. The training takes approximately 25 minutes to complete and provides clear, easy-to-understand guidance that can be applied directly in day-to-day support work.
