Leading Better Frontline Support

About this course
Course Overview
A practical and interactive course designed for frontline supervisors, service managers and experienced support workers who want to strengthen the way they lead and influence everyday support practice for people with intellectual disability.
Why take this course?
The quality of frontline leadership has a direct impact on the quality of support people receive.
Frontline leaders help shape how support workers communicate, solve problems, reflect on their practice and approach their everyday responsibilities. When workers are properly supported, guided and encouraged to improve their practice, the people receiving support ultimately benefit.
This 90-minute eLearning explores practical approaches to practice leadership, with a focus on helping frontline leaders develop stronger support teams and improve the consistency and quality of everyday practice.
The course works through the five key tasks of practice leadership, providing practical strategies that can be applied in day-to-day disability services.
Rather than leadership simply being about supervising staff or managing tasks, the focus is on creating an environment where workers can learn, reflect, receive constructive guidance and continually improve the support they provide.
