Course overview

This intermediate course helps disability support workers coordinate shared SIL support while preserving each resident’s individual goals, routines, relationships, privacy and choices. It covers shared staffing, blanket rules, competing preferences, busy household routines, visitors, co-tenant compatibility, vacancies and consistent teamwork without creating an institutional environment. Practical scenarios teach workers to balance shared resources fairly while keeping each participant’s support genuinely individualised.
